Mixed Green's Artist: Forumla B
How did the band's name come about? Was it a group
effort or an epiphany?
Our name, Formula B, was a group effort. The B stands
for Biggo which is the nickname of the guitar player.
He put the group together so we wanted to name it
after him. At first the bands name was The CB Formula,
standing for Chris Biggo. We shortened to Formula B
later beacause it was more catchy. It really started
out as a joke and then it just stuck after a while.
Nowadays the the word biggo stands more for our
attitude toward achieving big goals, everything is
biggo this and biggo that, but we still call our
guitar player Biggo.
Did you get into music for the art of it or was it
all because of the groupies (Male and Female)?
We are all artists. Still haven't seen alot of female
groupies, hopefully soon! We all take are music very
seriously and study in college music programs.
How do you feel about being a part of Mixed Greens?
We are thrilled! We love the idea of being part of a
mixed genre compilation. We try to embrace all styles
of music and try not to judge other styles, so we are
happy to be on a CD with other styles of music and
reach other audiences.
How about the personalities of the group? Who's
the wild one, who's the business one, who's not paying
attention?
Chris Biggo is a wild one, but also seems to take care
of alot of business and owns most of the equipment. He
can be stubborn though. Jeff Holden, our singer, is
the cool, suave, and soft spoken front man. He
attracts the ladies. James the drummer is all about
the music and the spirit of the jam.
Who's your idol or inspiration for your music?
We all come from different musical backgrounds, so it
is hard to pin point. Biggo loves Mike Patton, Jeff
sings alot of Marvin Gaye and James is a big Sound
Tribe Sector 9 fan.
Where do you feel music is going in the next couple
of years?
We have been making it more funky! Hopefully adding a
keyboard player and some horns.
How often do you write songs & how do you come up
with your song concepts?
If were all in the same room it just happens. We
couldn't stop it if we tried!

do you describe your music?
Funk/Rock/Soul with a back beat
Whats the best part about creating your own music?
The feeling we get watching people dance and groove to
our music. It makes us feel as though our music has a
positive impact on people, even if it's just for a few
moments.
What was the name of the first song? Could you
please write down a couple of bars of that song?
Our first song was called Scrape, and to this day it
isn't really finished, but it was the spark that
started the fire.
