How did the band's name come about?
I just go by Whitney Steele and it was a piece of cake to come up with!
Did you get into music for the art of it or was it all because of the groupies (Male and Female)?
I got into music simply because it's my passion. It's what I feel I was put on earth to do.
How do you feel about being a part of Mixed Greens?
I feel absolutely honored to be a part of Mixed Greens. I think it's a wonderful opportunity. I am always up for new ideas and more ways to get my music out.
How about the personalities of the group? Who's the wild one, who's the business one, who's not paying attention?
I am all of the personalities...it gets pretty chaotic sometimes!
Who's your idol or inspiration for your music?
I have several but a few of them are Cyndi Lauper, Amy Grant, Janis Joplin, Rob Thomas, Celine Dion, and Michael W. Smith
Where do you feel music is going in the next couple of years?
I think anything is possible.
How often do you write songs & how do you come up with your song concepts?
I write songs usually when I am going through something serious which seems like all the time. I come up with the lyrics and melody as I go.
Mixed Greens is a Blended Musical Compilation how do you describe your music?
Soft rock with an edge.
Whats the best part about creating your own music?
The best part about creating music is that each song is like going to 10 counseling sessions. I get everything out all at once and being able to share it with people who can relate is even better.
What was the name of the first song? Could you please write down a couple of bars of that song?
The name of the first song is 'Crazy'. If somebody told me I'd be your lady I'd say am I that damn amazing. If somebody told me I'd be your baby I'd say they were Crazy!
